I'm working on a research project at the University of Applied Science Nuremberg. We want to build up a Hardware-in-the-Loop Testbench with an ABB AC500 PLC. For the communication between the simulation (MATLAB) and the hardware (AC500) we want to use ModbusTCP. Does anybody know whether there is already a possibility to use ModbusTCP in MATLAB?

You may find that OPC is your best bet. If you google ³using ModbusTCP with Matlab² you will find many contradictory answers. You might do better to just install OPC.
