Recently PMG Stator of our Steam Turbine Gen Got burnt out due to reasons. Now we are going for rewind. Have anyone any idea of how it can be tested after rewind. Except Megger/IR.

One way I solved a similar problem was to connect it to a very low 3-phase voltage source. Then check for stator-current balance, hot spots, and unusual odors!
Also it's very important to check how stator-iron is connected to the motor carcass. It should only be at one point!
BTW what are its nameplate parameters?

Samiullah... The reason I asked for more detail is that there is a Joint EASA/AEMT Study covering "Motor Rewinds" It's available thru Google!
