Has anybody used a Siemens HMI PC software (Protool) to commuicate with a reliable TI555 via the front Profibus interface?

I can get them to see each other using Com Profibus to create a binary file to merge into Tisoft and using Protool to configure the HMI PC.

I have also loaded the Ladder program on to the 555 supplied with Protool specifically for DP comms.

I have created tags for X, Y, WX, WY, V and C locations but cannot get any to work.

Any knowledge or suggestions greatly appreciated!

 

We Used TI545 + Intellution through Com Port succesfully. Drivers provided by Intellution not very expensive and very Reliable.

There is a hmi.rec file that must be imported into the TI555. Contact Siemens Tech Support at 800-333-7421 for more info.
