I am trying to pass data from the UnityPro simulator package running on a laptop to a Telemechanique Processor with a TSX ETY5103 ethernet module. I have tried the READ_VAR and READ_ASYN instructions without success.

If anyone has an example of the UnityPro simulator package sending data to any peripheral device, please let me know how it was accomplished.

 

You can't use the Unity Simulator to communicate to an external device but you can get an external package/device to talk to the simulator.
As an example, you can use Vijeo Designer in simulation mode on the PC to talk to Unity at 127.0.0.1 Port 502 or access externally at the PC IP address Port 502. Set up your communications using Read_var from the PLC.
