What is the advantage of the Yokogawa Centum CS 3000 over the Centum CS

I have a Yokogawa Centum CS installed in my Plant we are planning to upgrade from Centum CS to Centum CS 3000. I will like to know the advantages and disadvantages of the Centum CS 3000 over the Centum CS.
What will i need to do migrate?

What will be involved? does it require new systems ICS, FCS, HMI, Marshaling Cabinets all together?

It is very good question.

Centum CS --> Running with Unix Platform
CS3000 --> Running with Windows xxx platform

You will get all privilege when your DCS running on windows OS. It will be more user friendly, communication is very fast, easy for engineering and maintenance.

What does downtime cost? If startup and restart are trivial, then either one would probably be fine. If you lose half a day and scrap process material on a stoppage, why would you use Windows? I suspect that's why they have both.
