Am I correct in saying that Lambda tuning does not need to result in slow controllers? As I see it, it all depends on what value you give the Lambda parameter.
If so I would like to use this tuning method on some of our processes that can only heat a product (there is no cooling) and where I need to get to a setpoint without much overshoot.
Also, given the process parameters (gain, lags) I can actually give the operator (or some software) some kind of a brake on the controller. When we need faster control we just release the brakes somewhat (change Lambda and recalculate the controller parameters).
